World Mythology

World Religions

“In addition to a wide-ranging collection of cross-cultural myths, World Mythology perceptively explores the origins, characteristics, purposes, and functions of myth as a literary genre. To examine the ways the text’s narratives express human nature, teach morality, and answer people’s questions about the origins and ends of worldly existence, the authors provide thoughtful commentary and analysis for each of the myths.”
