Biography
Love L. Sechrest earned a PhD at Duke University and previously served as a senior manager at General Electric. Sechrest formerly taught as an associate professor of New Testament at Fuller Theological Seminary and cochaired the African American Biblical Hermeneutics section of the Society of Biblical Literature. Sechrest has served Columbia Theological Seminary as vice president for academic affairs, dean of faculty, and associate professor of New Testament. Sechrest wrote Race and Rhyme (2022), edited Can "White" People Be Saved? (2018), and wrote the foreword to Do Black Lives Matter? (2023).
