“Dr. Hinkle offers new insight regarding the development and function of the Hebrew Bible. With an attentive focus on passages across the Canon of Scripture, Hinkle guides the reader to discern how Scripture forms persons within the community of faith. Hinkle demonstrates how Scripture serves the role of transmitting faith from every established adult audience in one generation to the emerging next generation of children and youth.”
