Discipleship & Christian Education
“Collinson's creative approach, considering discipleship from an educational perspective, is original and stimulating with fascinating insights into Jesus' methodology. An excellent source for all his disciples, not just for disciplers.”
Biblical Studies & Commentaries
“"Tamar's Tears provides excellent examples of interacting with, learning from, and critiquing differing positions. Readers will find consistently good scholarship, integrity, and a love for and trust in the Bible as God's Word. No reader, whatever their starting perspective, will agree, or for that matter disagree, with everything here, but all will be stimulated and challenged to look again and think again about what the Bible (and feminist theology) actually says.”
The Quest for Gender Equity in Leadership
Ethics, Culture & Social Issues
“This book . . . takes a particular issue of vital significance in the modern world--gender equity--[and] provides fascinating insights into a number of African cultures. It showcases some excellent African scholarship from both male and female theologians . . . and provides a fine example to the rest of the world of using biblical principles to critique culture from the inside. Congratulations to the editors and the writing team for producing such a useful compilation.”
