Church Leadership & Ministry
“With skill and imagination Bryan Chapell teaches us to preach what we practice. He unpacks principles from his classic Christ-Centered Preaching in a dazzling range of his own sermons in which we can read his helpful commentary. Rarely does a homiletician open up his mind and heart so generously. Preachers are in his debt. Again.”
Preaching & Worship
“Roger Standing breezily shares his enthusiasm for narrative preaching. He combines theory about narrative and its cultural relevance with practical advice and preaching examples. A helpful stimulus to any preacher to branch out into narrative preaching.”
Biblical Studies & Commentaries
“Galatians lives! Reading this commentary seems like sharing in deep conversation with Todd Wilson. His acute questions and insights give many ‘aha’ moments. Wearing scholarship lightly, yet always intensely informed, he opens up this essential epistle to make a vital impact on us today.”
Christian Living
“Servantship deserves prime place among recent missional books, offering a powerful corrective to leadership-fixated churches. Combining thoughtful theology, cultural analysis, and practice, its stories and questions humble and inspire. It jolts you to see what's missing today. From the Australian context, Graham Hill has provided a challenge to the Western church that we dare not ignore.”
Preaching & Worship
“With characteristic flair and scholarship, Wilson reconnects proclamation with teaching as the dual parts of preaching. Championing an urgent need for proclamation, he presents nine subgenres, drenching them with sermon examples drawn from the early church to the present. A rich sermon fare to savor in-depth. It challenges intellect and spirit.”
Christian Living
“With pastoral realism, biblical conviction, and thoughtful reflection on wide reading, Brauns masterfully unpacks the complexity of Christian forgiveness. His humor and liveliness, with a striking story-telling gift, disarmingly navigate beyond the popular 'therapeutic model' into a deeper understanding of biblical forgiveness. From the opening quiz you know his approach is different, and you will likely find your questions both asked and answered by this powerfully practical book. Taken seriously it will revolutionize your life.”
