The Relationship Between the Baptism with the Spirit and the Isaianic New Exodus
“Walter Nutt presents an interesting perspective on the Isaianic new exodus as the pattern behind the stories of Jesus and the early church in Luke/Acts. One of his contributions is what Nutt terms ‘a multidimensional baptism of the Spirit,’ as contrasted to the traditional view of a separation between the Spirit’s work in regeneration and a subsequent empowerment for service and mission. This well documented work should become required reading for theologians and leaders of the Pentecostal persuasion.”
