“The Siege at Bastogne and its outcome is one my favorite events of WWII. I had the opportunity at West Point to study in great detail this battle of valor, survival, and victory of our 101st Airborne Division and other assigned units against overwhelming Nazi infantry and panzer units. We said ‘Nuts’ to a German demand for surrender and God blessed the troops with a break in the weather for our soldiers to get Allied air support and push back the German forces. Thank you, Jerry, for writing this book and bringing back the memories of brave Americans who were dedicated to survive and defeat the enemy.”
