Foreword

Preaching & Worship
“This is a brilliant analysis that peruses biblical, historical, and theological histories of eucharistic practice in order to point in provocative new directions about ways to reclaim the central role of Christian hospitality. Carvalhaes draws on the history of Christian tradition in order to re-appropriate it for the global world in which we live.”
Preaching & Worship
“Here is a robust guide to a homiletics of entanglement that draws careful attention to the centrality of Earth in Scripture and in our lives. Sam Coddington offers readers a profoundly honest approach, replete with rich examples, that begins and ends with the simple acknowledgement of our interdependence with all creation and celebrates in distinctive and particular ways as the world around us invites us to participate in the care and renewal of all forms of life.”
Preaching & Worship
“This rich and diverse collection of sermons serves as a source of inspiration for devotional readings as well as a model of faithful proclamation. Readers will benefit greatly from Taylor’s theological insight and literary skill that allow lectionary texts to come to life in thoughtful ways.”
Why Did Jesus Die and What Does That Have to Do with Me?
Theology
“Fred Anderson offers readers a refreshing, wide-ranging, and highly accessible overview of atonement language from its use in Scripture to its theological development throughout the history of the church. With clarity and persuasion, he unpacks the attempts to explain this complex doctrine while demonstrating that the biblical language of sacrifice is firmly rooted in thanksgiving for divine grace rather than as an attempt to appease an angry god.”
Philosophy
“In ZeroTheology, John Tucker offers a clever and creative exploration of religious life outside the bounds of propositional truth. Readers will find themselves both challenged and prodded to re-examine the ways in which faith takes shape in their lives.”
