Faithful Conversation

Ethics, Culture & Social Issues

“This book should generate some solid discussion in our church. The variety of perspectives will challenge readers, whatever their viewpoint, to examine their own thinking about homosexuality. While acknowledging the subject's importance and potential divisiveness, the authors recognize, refreshingly, that our unity in Jesus Christ is a far more important reality. The spirit of respect and civility that permeates this book is a powerful model for each of us.”

Remembering Jesus

Ethics, Culture & Social Issues

“In a wide-ranging consideration of medical, sexual, economic, and political ethics in light of Scripture, Verhey here confirms what we have come to expect from him — an intimate knowledge of the Bible and the capacity to convey its message in ways that are deeply edifying. As both a biblical theologian and an ethicist, he provides in this work a trustworthy model for understanding the role of Scripture in the life of a responsible church.”

Through the Church Door

“Harold Simonson's Through the Church Door is an engaging and rewarding book, reflecting the soul of one who has thought deeply about the Gospel and the life that it inspires. Simonson's background-a Professor of English and in his later years an ordained minister-enables him to move comfortably in the realms of both literature and theology, bringing all the more insight to his subject. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is serious about connecting one's faith with one's daily life.”
