Reidar Thomte

Biography

Reidar Thomte (1902–1994) directed a mission school in China and served various Lutheran parishes. Thomte taught religion and philosophy at Carthage College, Luther College, and Concordia College, and held Guggenheim and Fulbright fellowships. Thomte studied at the University of Minnesota and Hartwick Seminary and earned a PhD from New York University. Thomte wrote Kierkegaard's Philosophy of Religion (2009).
