Christ and Theology

Biblical Studies & Commentaries

“In Christ and Theology, Scott Stine offers a clear map for pastors and theology students who want to understand the current hermeneutical discussion that swirls around biblical theology as recovered by Vos, the discussion about the meaning of sola scriptura, and the Christo-centric focus found in the work of Graeme Goldsworthy, Greg Beale, and others. All of this he compares with Great Tradition as displayed in the work of Craig Carter. His work is clear. Yet, even beyond a primer in contemporary hermeneutics and biblical theology, Stine also offers the reader ‘typological realism’ as his proposal for an emergent hermeneutical principle that may prove quite fruitful.”
