Lightning from the East

Preaching & Worship

“Demonstrating the heart of a pastor and the discipline of a scholar, Slemmons does more than offer a new collection of liturgical resources. In Lightning from the East, he brings fresh life to the familiar texts of the lectionary by inviting us into a conversation with the Word--a conversation that is best experienced within the context of the worship of God. This book is a rich resource for every pastor and worship leader.”
