“To read Logan Jones’s poetry is to take a deep dive into his inner life—and our own. In the alchemy of his poetry he takes us from his childhood idolization of Mantle to the innings he has played listening to the pain of others, healing the sick, casting out demons, and sitting vigil as people passed over. ‘He cared for souls.’ He cares for the souls of his readers as well.”

“Logan Jones expresses and confesses what few are able to do. His poem about lightning striking and destroying his home breaks into unrestrained prose, yet remains poetic. He looks back on himself as a child, able to see the world again through a child's eyes. He gives the words 'mercy' and 'kindness' rare texture. I have read and re-read his poems. I am never disappointed.”
