Theology
“Why are there not hundreds of teachers and pastors saying what this book is saying? Chuck Queen is faith-filled, intelligent, and honest, and does not let theory get in the way of Christian good sense and Christian good love. Read and be fed!”
History & Biography
“Witty, compassionate, and rich, these lyrical letters to Saint Francis court wonder, inviting the reader on a pilgrimage to the heart.”
An Explorer's Guide to Julian of Norwich
History & Biography
“The grand and optimistic vision of Lady Julian is fully presented and profoundly supported in this excellent guide by Veronica Mary Rolf. I have been fed for many years by Julian, but this is a new and generous feeding. It can serve as a first-time introduction to this marvelous mystic or a fifth-time deeper journey.”
An Invitation to Celtic Wisdom
Prayer & Spiritual Formation
“Franciscans recognize the headwaters of our own spiritual tradition in much of Celtic spirituality: nature based, optimistic, experiential, and much more mystical than moralistic. Carl McColman’s stunning synthesis here is a great way to dive back into these wonder-filled and genuinely refreshing headwaters.”

Answering the Contemplative Call
Prayer & Spiritual Formation
“It is not often that a book is both very practical and very inspiring at the same time. Carl McColman gives you much wise direction and broad understanding of the field of contemplative theory and practice. The need is too great today to waste time relearning what has already been learned—so well. Here is your teacher!”
Christian Living
“After years of trying, I know that any speaking on gender issues is like walking across a mine field. But you will enjoy here a walk that is so intelligent and spiritually grounded that it will feel like an exciting, faith-filled, and challenging walk through mountain passes and shady valleys. If you are seeking wisdom on these narrow and largely unwalked paths, this is the book to read!”
Arts & Literature
“I am quite happy and proud to recommend to you the wisdom and the beauty you will find in this book! Our world has need of this.”
Prayer & Spiritual Formation
“With scriptural insights and practical exercises, Albert Haase reminds us that God has an ardent longing for a deeper and deeper relationship with each of us. The disciple's journey is a mystical journey that leads to a deeper experience of the ordinary and mundane. To plumb the depths of the secular is to scale the heights of the sacred. An authentic expression of the Franciscan vision of the world!”
Christian Living
“We all know darkness, but few of us know the gift that exists within the darkness. Luke shows us a way through our fears toward the gift of our truest self in Befriending Your Monsters.”

Arts & Literature
“Progressing through the Christian liturgical cycle from duality to union, Chris Ellery’s beautiful and moving Canticles of the Body constitutes an extended meditation on incarnation even as it searches out meaning in the archetypes of many spiritual traditions. Often challenging and sometimes troubling, the poems in this unique collection should provoke readers to return to Scripture and hagiography to see what they missed.”
Fiction
“It seems the world never gets tired of seeking, discovering, writing about, and falling in love with Francis of Assisi. Ian Cron does it again, but with real insight, imagination, and courage. Join in the chase!”

Prayer & Spiritual Formation
“How blessed we are to have this book! I have begun my morning sit lately by reading here from another ancestor in the ways of faith, hope, and love. Carl McColman not only broadens our notion of mysticism, but in rather simple format, also deepens it, and thus invites every Christian on the same beloved path.”

Christianity for the Rest of Us
Church Leadership & Ministry
“Not only does this book confirm the dictum to ‘think globally and act locally’, but teaches us that to think traditionally today we must act very creatively! Diana Butler Bass is teaching us how to “discern” the living Body of Christ, which is clearly both within and beyond any single Christian group or denomination today. This book is ecumenical hope!”
Prayer & Spiritual Formation
“This is practical and profound spiritual guidance! If we do not clarify some of these foundational issues, there will be no real flourishing in our search for God. Albert Haase makes very substantial ideas readable, personal and even adventuresome. What a good Franciscan!”
Conscience, Spirituality, and Religion
Philosophy
“The combination of psychiatric insight and spiritual wisdom in Dr. Xavier’s book, Conscience, Spirituality, and Religion, is extremely useful for individuals and communities.”
Prayer & Spiritual Formation
“Again, James Danaher shows us that the use of the mind and the search for God are not in competition, but in fact enrich and feed one another at very deep levels. How much we need this kind of integration in our culture--where so much religious talk seems divisive and compromised. Contemplative Prayer is not just about divine prayer but about the very quality of human faith and love.”
Christian Living
“Death by Suburb addresses and overcomes the split in our religion, our lifestyles, and even our consciousness.”
Prayer & Spiritual Formation
“David Benner never disappoints. He is intelligent without being academic, psychologically astute without being trendy, spiritually profound without being pious. He clearly knows the landscape from which he dares to speak.”
Does God Always Get What God Wants?
Theology
“Lucid, thought-provoking, insightful, and deeply personal. Reddish shows how the path of suffering can be transformative, even enabling intimacy with our Trinitarian God, who participates in our suffering and with that of all creation. The Trinity’s journey of suffering love to the cross can become more profoundly real through our own experiences of pain and brokenness.”
Arts & Literature
“Good poetry is like that rare experience of good theology. Neither really answer your questions, but only open up better ones. Neither fully satisfy your intellect except to let you know that thinking is good. Both should stir the heart and the soul so that you know you indeed have a heart and that your soul was made to mirror the world. Enjoy and suffer such poetry here!”
