Discovering the Christian Mind

Philosophy

“Accurately probing the biblical teaching on regeneration and its decisive, transforming power, Dr. Vickers illuminates the necessity of this gracious, vital change as foundational to Christian thinking and action. He successfully argues for comprehension of this truth as prior to any consideration of how the Christian lives and interacts with an unregenerate culture. Reminiscent of Thomas Boston's magisterial Human Nature in Its Fourfold State, Vickers has been enabled to handle profound theology in a way that sparkles with wisdom and light.”

The Christian’s Highest Good

Theology

“In The Christian's Highest Good, Douglas Vickers addresses the current situation with his usual vigor and exposes the sources and directions of sub-biblical streams of thought. He directs the reader to reconsider the basic foundations of the Christian faith, the sovereignty of God, his declared salvific purpose in Christ, and the blessings of reconciliation and fellowship with God. This book deserves to be widely read for both the urgent importance of the issues it discusses and the clarity and challenge of its presentation.”
