Robert E. Schmitz is a retired priest of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati who previously served as archdiocesan planning director and pastored parishes. Schmitz earned an MA in systematic theology from Mount Saint Mary's Seminary and School of Theology, and both an MPhil and a PhD in sociology of religion from Columbia University in the City of New York. Schmitz wrote For Us and for Our Salvation (2025).
