“The collection of poems by Shukla Bhattacharya is a delightful reading of emotions, word play and insights into human behavior, unlocking a world that is both bizarre and tempting. Evocative, with a lilting quality interspersed with trenchant facts of life, Bhattacharya’s poems remind us of our mortality as well as our hopes, like Orpheus who convinced Persephone and Pluto to release Euridice from the netherworld. In one word, alluring.”
