14 Fresh Ways to Enjoy the Bible

Bible Studies & Devotionals

“I love this book! It is simply brilliant. James Coakley knows that to understand what the Bible says, you have to understand how it says it. He knows that the Bible is a literary masterpiece, and he is skilled at helping readers enjoy its literary techniques (how it says it) as a window into its meaning (what it says). Everything about this book is fresh—the writing, the ideas, and the examples. Coakley's volume has helped me become a better Bible reader and has given me a deeper love for God and His Word.”

Biblical Preaching

Church Leadership & Ministry

“I am beyond grateful for a new edition of Haddon Robinson’s classic textbook on expository preaching. Scott Wenig has done a masterful job updating it. The genius of Biblical Preaching is that it teaches preachers to think deeply about the text, about their listeners, and about how to proclaim the text and its big idea in a clear, compelling way. This updated edition will serve veteran preachers who need a boost and aspiring preachers who need the basics.”

How to Preach the Prophets for All Their Worth

Church Leadership & Ministry

“Preaching the Old Testament prophets is an intimidating task. So, I’m thankful for Andrew Hamilton. He loves the prophetic genre and has provided us with a guide that is both substantial and practical. . . . This book is worth reading and then using as a reference the next time you preach the prophets. You and your listeners will be better for it.”

Pastoring the Small Church

Church Leadership & Ministry

“I thank God for large churches, and I thank God for small churches. I thank God, too, for pastors like Eric Moore who understand the challenges and opportunities presented by small churches. Don't let the size of this book fool you. Eric packs a ton of Bible-based wisdom into it. Pastors who have the big responsibility of pastoring a small church will find it helpful and perhaps life-changing.”

The Cry of the Teacher’s Soul

Work, Money & Leadership

“I get tired of reading that this book or that book is a 'must-read,' but Matthias has definitely written a 'must-read' for teachers. It is theologically rich, readily accessible, and eminently practical. It has encouraged this teacher's soul. I intend to give it to as many teacher friends as I can.”

Who Have You Been Called to Be?

Work, Money & Leadership

“I love the way that Travis Guse utilizes coaching as a tool for personalized discipleship. This is a brilliant strategy! The key contribution of Who Have You Been Called to Be? is the way it draws on Martin Luther’s theologically rich teaching on vocation to coach people into living out their calling in Christ. If you are committed to discipling others, this book is for you.”
