Flame of Love

Theology

“Flame of Love is a modern classic that has profoundly shaped a generation of evangelicals and Pentecostals, and Daniel Castelo is a perfect guide. Castelo offers helpful in-text comments and thoughtful postscript reflections that highlight the significance of Pinnock's thought and demonstrate where scholarship has gone since. Without a doubt, this edition should be a mainstay in any classroom where the Spirit is the subject.”

Reconstructing Prayer

Prayer & Spiritual Formation

“The prayers of children are simple yet instructive—they show us what it means to follow a good and gracious God through our doubts and fears. Williams’ book takes Matthew 18:3 to heart, demonstrating how a true and honest childlike confession of faith can guide us through the often necessary stages of deconstruction to a more generous reconstructed Christian faith.”

Worship and Power

Preaching & Worship

“We don’t often think of worship in terms of power and authority, but this social dynamic certainly exists and is significant for our holistic formation. In Worship and Power, Johnson and Wymer invite scholars to engage the power structures of various Free Church denominational traditions. What results is an intriguing and robust dialogue that can help us understand how our worship forms us and why it matters.”
