Wrestling with Angels

History & Biography

“Father Paul Mayer’s life on this earth was a gift to all who value love and justice. Reading Wrestling with Angels is a way to learn about not just Paul’s life but also about organized efforts in the twentieth century for peace, justice, and environmental protection and connection. It is a way to understand Paul’s call for human beings to ‘literally reinvent ourselves through the alchemy of the Spirit or perish, climb another rung on the evolutionary ladder, to another level of human consciousness.’”
