The Mercy Prayer

Prayer & Spiritual Formation

“I have known Robert for over 20 years and he has always had an uncanny ability to make the Scriptures come alive. What do you do when you are suffering? When temptation has besieged you? When you are in pain? You ask for mercy. In the pleading, ‘We are asking God to step in, to look at our situation, and supernaturally intrude upon our circumstances and change the course of our lives’ (p. 90). Knowing Robert the way I do, these are not only his words, this is how he has lived his life. He embodies the mercy. I highly recommend this book because it represents a life of study in God’s deepest mercies, and a life of living God’s deepest mercies.”
