Call to Mission and Perceptions of Proselytism

Evangelism & Missions

“The Global Christian Forum, a joint endeavor by the Vatican’s Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, the World Council of Churches, the World Evangelical Alliance, and the Pentecostal World Fellowship, authorized a global discussion process dealing with one of the most pressing ecumenical issues, sloppily called ‘sheep stealing.’ Within this fruitful process, we all entrusted John Baxter-Brown to gather relevant documents around the topic. . . . All churches worldwide owe him a big thank you!”

Effective Discipling in Muslim Communities

Evangelism & Missions

“As the number of Muslims becoming Christians worldwide is growing, we need to assure that they do not haste into a kind of Western religion, but are wisely discipled as followers of Christ to be mature and credible testimonies within their own Muslim cultures. Never before have the problems and chances been discussed as broadly as in Little's book . . . knowledge that easily might influence the future of the relation of the two largest world religions.”

The Scandal of Evangelism

Evangelism & Missions

“Since the publication of the document ‘Christian Witness in a Multi-religious World: Recommendations for Conduct,’ published in 2011, world Christianity has been waiting for this book: a detailed discussion of the major questions involved. Elmer Thiessen’s biblical study of the ethics of evangelism provides such discussion, and the result is superb. Thoroughly considered for years, taking up the relevant international discussion, and tested in discussions with the highest level of representatives for the major branches of Christianity, The Scandal of Evangelism is a compendium of the major problems and questions involved. Both friends and foes of evangelism have much to learn here. This book will open a new chapter in the discussion.”
