Drowning for Jesus

Counseling, Grief & Mental Health

“This volume presents the risks of religious work due to problems in ministry and faulty survival skills, discusses ways to prevent burnout and compassion fatigue, and helps readers reexamine their calling and learn to survive well in religious systems. As a former seminary dean, I understand the challenges seminaries face to prepare students for the real world of ministry and hope Drowning for Jesus will become a resource for seminarians as it will be for professional clergy.”

Kingdom Advancing

Theology

“A comprehensive and well-documented treatise, Kingdom Advancing is a passionate plea from a scholar-pastor that must be heeded. Trevor Grizzle must be commended for his effort to point out the demands of the kingdom of God on contemporary followers of Jesus. I recommend this volume to the academy and the church with the promise that it will inform, illuminate, inspire, and prophetically challenge its readers to put their hands to the plough in response to the call of the one true King—Jesus Christ, the risen Lord.”
