The Beatitudes, Discipleship, and the Justice of God

Discipleship & Christian Education

“Brooks Harrington’s framing of the Beatitudes as steps in discipleship—followers of Matthew’s Jesus—is a fresh, new way of looking at this section of Matthew’s gospel. He carefully and compellingly exegetes the passage and demonstrates the steps of discipleship with the story of the church, the trustees, the mission, and the four women. This book challenges everyone and at the same time encourages those who are fighting the good fight and causing ‘good trouble’ in the process.”
