History & Biography
“Ray’s journey of faith is ‘hard faith’ because life’s challenges can be hard, perplexing, and even cruel. . . . Hard faith is God’s persistent or even hard pursuit of a relationship with humans where nothing can keep his transforming power from impacting them. The God Ray reads about in the Scriptures becomes real through this personal journey.”
History & Biography
“Hard Knocks is a relevant story for today. Seeds of hate were sown in Ray’s young heart as he tried to navigate through a climate of racism and hate. Hard Knocks fully reveals the inner rage that took Ray to the precipice of self-destruction—prison and hospitalization. How does a man filled with rage, hate, and revenge become a man filled with love, especially for those caught in the same struggle?”
Fiction
“Ray Lopez uses his years of experience as a probation officer to expose the evil culture of the criminal world, specifically of La Cosa Nostra. Lopez exposes the pretense of the good guys who fight evil by ‘cheating fair.’ The criminal’s deficient views of God as harsh and ready to punish influence the inner prison walls of their minds. Ray masterfully shows the only way to freedom.”
