The African American Missional Pastor

Church Leadership & Ministry

“The African American Missional Pastor provides us with a much-needed written history on African American preaching and its call for justice. The author draws from the rich tradition of African American preaching and skillfully connects this tradition with community engagement and social responsibility. He further conveys how preaching is not merely spoken proclamation, but an active, embodied witness that confronts injustice and cultivates hope. Clergy, laypersons, researchers, and historians will benefit from this invaluable publication.”

The Black Baptist Experience in Canada

History & Biography

“The Black Baptist Experience in Canada offers a powerful exploration of the significant yet often overlooked role Black Baptists played in shaping Canada’s religious, social, and cultural landscape. Through in-depth analysis and exhaustive research, it uncovers Black Baptists’ resilience, faith, and activism from the early days of enslavement to the formation of independent congregations. There is no other full-length work on this subject in existence. Thus, it is essential for a broad range of readers.”
