Thinking God Otherwise

Philosophy

“This book is a helpfully illuminating and engaging introduction to the thought of Emmanuel Falque. Alain Saudan is lucidly conversant with Falque’s work and conveys it in an intelligently compact manner. Falque is worthy of more widespread recognition in the Anglophone world for his bold and philosophically thoughtful approach to the relation of philosophy and theology in general, and philosophy and Christianity in particular. This book will be welcomed by thinkers and scholars who wonder about the ‘theological turn’ in French phenomenology and if with Falque they too might cross the Rubicon between philosophy and Christianity. This book lays out well the terms of Falque’s crossing. Warmly recommended.”
