William J. Jackson earned a PhD in the comparative study of religion at Harvard University and studied acting at the Goodman Theatre School at the Art Institute of Chicago. Jackson previously served as a professor in the Department of Religious Studies at Indiana University-Purdue University and held a sabbatical fellowship at the Rockefeller Research Center in Bellagio, Italy, as well as a Danforth graduate school fellowship. Jackson's books include Heaven's Fractal Net (2022) and American Tricksters (2014).
