A Peculiar Glory

Christian Living

“There are few questions more important than ‘How do I know the Bible is God’s Word?’ And there are few people who could address it as well as John Piper. Drawing from the deep theological well of Jonathan Edwards and with a practical eye for the average believer in the pew, Piper helps us recover the foundational importance of a self-authenticating Bible. This book will revolutionize the way you think about God’s Word.”

An Introduction to the Greek New Testament, Produced at Tyndale House, Cambridge

Biblical Studies & Commentaries

“Pulling back the curtain on the origins of the Greek New Testament, Dirk Jongkind explains where it came from, how it works, and why it can be trusted. If you have ever doubted the trustworthiness of the Greek text, you will find reassurance in this wonderful volume.”

Christ the Center

Biblical Studies & Commentaries

“The topic of canon continues to be at the forefront of scholarly discussions today. But sometimes it seems we are rehashing the same topics over and over. Tomas Bokedal’s new volume is different. It presses these canonical discussions in new and fresh directions. Creative and well-researched, this will be an important volume for anyone interested in the origins of the New Testament.”

Creating the Canon

Biblical Studies & Commentaries

“The wonderful thing about studying the origins of the New Testament canon is that there's always more to discover. It seems like a well without a bottom. This new volume by Benjamin Laird exemplifies this reality. In this wide-ranging study, Laird not only revisits older questions but also explores newer ones, creating a fresh and helpful addition to the growing body of work on the origins of the canon.”

Fundamentals of New Testament Textual Criticism

Biblical Studies & Commentaries

“Because of the complexity of the field of textual criticism, most introductions are either too detailed or too basic. This exceptional volume by Stanley Porter and Andrew Pitts provides a welcome balance between these two extremes, introducing students to all the critical issues without overloading them with unnecessary detail. It also covers topics that most introductions overlook, such as the development of the New Testament canon and modern English translations. For anyone looking for a balanced, thorough, and yet readable introduction to textual criticism, this is it.”

Handbook on Hebrews through Revelation

Biblical Studies & Commentaries

“Here, finally, we have a volume on Hebrews to Revelation that is more detailed than a typical New Testament introduction but not as overwhelming as a commentary. With Andreas Köstenberger as a faithful and steady guide, the reader gets a top-notch analysis of all the key passages without being bogged down by mountains of information--a wonderful balance that will surely make this volume a must-have tool for all Christian leaders.”

I Have My Doubts

Christian Living

“As Christians, we talk a lot about faith but perhaps too little about doubt. This book reminds us that the Bible talks about both. With the warmth and honesty of a pastor and the wisdom and depth of a theologian, Ryken leads the reader to a renewed and refreshed hope in the truths of God without minimizing the dark challenges of our world. Read it and be encouraged. And then give it to a friend.”

Orthodoxy and Heresy in Early Christian Contexts

History & Biography

“Modern scholars continue to be entranced by Walter Bauer's thesis that earliest Christianity was wildly diverse with no clear orthodoxy or heresy. Indeed, it is Bauer's thesis that has provided the foundation for many of the modern attacks on the integrity of the Bible. Thus, I am thankful for this outstanding collection of essays aimed at refuting Bauer's thesis and setting the record straight about what earliest Christianity was really like. With clarity and thoroughness, these essays sweep away the cloud of doubt raised by Bauer and shine fresh light on how Christianity developed in the earliest centuries.”

Paul, Apostle of God's Glory in Christ

Biblical Studies & Commentaries

“With the bewildering amount of modern scholarship on Paul's theology, combined with the complexity of Paul himself, there is a great need for a volume that can carefully and faithfully guide the way. Tom Schreiner's volume on Paul fills that need splendidly. Thorough enough to cover the necessary terrain, yet concise enough for both scholar and pastor, Schreiner provides an exegetical, redemptive-historical, and (above all) theologically faithful tour of Paul's thought. I highly recommend it.”

Revelation

Biblical Studies & Commentaries

“The book of Revelation is, at the same time, one of the most exhilarating and one of the most complicated books in the New Testament. To navigate these rough waters, one needs an able guide at the helm. Tom Schreiner proves to be such a guide in this wonderful new commentary. It is both erudite and accessible, scholarly yet practical, and filled with a plethora of new insights and observations. I highly recommend it.”

The "Man Christ Jesus"

Biblical Studies & Commentaries

“For generations modern scholarship has promulgated the idea that Paul either had no interest in or very little knowledge of the historical Jesus. Christianity, we are told, is really the religion of Paul of Tarsus not Jesus of Nazareth. I am grateful for Stephen Stout's careful and extensive study which shows this long-standing scholarly assumption to be false.”

What's Your Worldview?

Christian Living

“For some time now, the church has been in desperate need of an accessible and practical tool that would help people evaluate the cogency and coherence of their worldviews. Finally, with this new book, that need is being met. James Anderson is one of the brightest new voices in the world of philosophical theology. You will not want to miss this book.”
