Biblical Studies & Commentaries
“At a time when biblical literacy leaves so much to be desired, pastors and teachers are constantly seeking for teaching aids to enable people to access the rich treasures of Holy Scripture. This is especially true of such books as Leviticus. With a professional lifetime studying and teaching the Torah behind him, and with a passionate love for the Scriptures, William T. Miller is a surefooted guide for student, teacher, and pastor. I cannot recommend his new book on Leviticus highly enough.”
Bible Studies & Devotionals
“With decades of Torah study and teaching behind Miller, A Compact Study of Numbers will be of enormous help to the beginning student of the Torah as well as to more seasoned scholars. It is very highly recommended.”
Theology
“Ernest Skublics’s book, Plunged into the Trinity, is an excellent resource for all involved in Christian religious education, and not just for the catechists following the catechetical methods of the Good Shepherd, with whom the chapters of this book originated as talks. Skublics is so well placed to provide such an outstanding instrument for catechesis. He has spent a lifetime studying and exploring liturgical and sacramental theology and, more importantly, actively participating in the liturgical assembly.”
The Ecumenical Work of the Icon
Discipleship & Christian Education
“Hilda Kleiman's The Ecumenical Work of the Icon brings together a variety of insights of the author garnered from her own lived religious experience, her expertise in English language/literature, and her knowledge and skills in iconography. This insightful and creative synthesis will greatly enrich the spiritual horizons of all readers across the ecumenical spectrum.”
Theology
“Leamy's The Holy Trinity is an excellent example of first-rate theological scholarship. Leamy, however, is not simply exploring a narrow and specialized strand of modern academic theology. Rather she is initiating and developing theological conversations in a compellingly attractive fashion. Mining Balthasar's Trinitarian theology in relation to Bulgakov, with Aquinas in the background, is a daunting project, but Leamy brings it off. East and West meet in conversation, modern theological thought is in dialogue with medieval theological thought--all to produce an immensely rich synthesis of Trinitarian theology and Christology. . . . I cannot recommend it highly enough.”
