“Catherine Keller is a poet among theologians. Her writing attains imaginative heights and depths that expose the flatly prosaic character of most theological work. One finds oneself lingering over sentences, images and tropes, hearing them resonate with connections and insights.”
Theology
“The Workgroup on Constructive Theology was founded over forty years ago. It has produced several books and gone through about three generations of members. The current book is a product of its present membership. It offers an unconventional introduction to theology by focusing on epistemology (knowing), traditions (remembering and belonging), and world-making (acting and becoming). It does so by engaging various aspects of contemporary culture (including pop culture) and current religious practices. It emphasizes diversity, justice, prophetic witness, embodiment, connection, and construction (including a concept of God). A truly collaborative project, this book helps set the context for rethinking Christian doctrine today.”
Theology
“''Constructive Theology celebrates a rich, kaleidoscopic variety of theological structures, genres, arguments, and insights. The authors are committed to retrieving the deep insights of the classical tradition by bringing contemporary problems and experiences to bear on the work of theological construction....A fresh engagement with Christian faith.''”

Theology
“One of the profoundest systematic theologies since Tillich. Douglas Hall relates theological issues to the contemporary North American context in a way that should prove to be immensely helpful to pastors and other church leaders who are interested in serious theological reflection.”
Theology
“A breakthrough. A wonderful work, one that is likely to have an impact comparable to Models of God. I thoroughly enjoyed this work and found it to be immensely helpful.”
The Theological and the Political
Theology
“Intriguing, well–written, and well–researched, Mark Taylor's new project is also challenging. He introduces new categories to find a way beyond the binaries of transcendence and immanence in the search for 'the theological' in the political.”
