World Religions

“Ibrahim has struck the perfect balance between rigor and accessibility. This book is a must-read.”

After Saturday Comes Sunday

Ethics, Culture & Social Issues

“In her latest book, Elizabeth Kendal opens the eyes of her readers in compelling fashion to the tragedy that has befallen Middle Eastern Christians. Her extensive experience as a religious liberty analyst has informed this work, which is at once an insightful survey of past historical and political events, and a call to action on behalf of persecuted Christians. No reader could fail to be moved by this powerful study.”

Contextualization or Syncretism?

Evangelism & Missions

“Brotherson makes a vitally important contribution to debates surrounding the tension between contextualization and syncretism in mission. His consideration of arguments for and against Insider Movement (IM) methods is welcome. Much discussion of IM from both sides is polemical and undignified, involving far more heat than light. This book is the antithesis of that, being measured, without any agenda, irenic, and extremely helpful. Brotherson’s research speaks into a great gap within today’s church.”

Hope for the Afflicted

Evangelism & Missions

“This accessible and engaging study opens a window into the Fur people of the Darfur region of Sudan, whose experience of persecution and suffering has few parallels in the modern day. Through a multidisciplinary approach combining text-based research and direct interviews, Jairo de Oliveira gives a voice to the voiceless community of Fur refugees who have found temporary safety in Amman, Jordan.”

Narrative Identity

World Religions

“Castor’s new book is groundbreaking on several levels. His application of a narrative identity framework informs the active debates in the fast-changing field of identity studies. Furthermore, Castor’s focus on Pashtun immigrants in the USA offers compelling new insights into digital-age communication contributions to identity formation. Moreover, his consideration of people group identity represents a challenge to one of the theoretical icons of mission studies. This is a must-read book.”

The Catecismo of Martín Pérez de Ayala

World Religions

“This book is an excellent example of cross-disciplinary research. Firmly grounded in historical method, Lincoln Loo takes his readers back to Early Modern Spain, a period of dramatic change following the Reconquista and the end of Muslim rule. He opens windows into church politics, interreligious relations and persecution, and literature of the period of the notorious Inquisition. Having the fascination of a novel and the rigor of a dissertation, this book is a must-read for Christians and non-Christians alike.”

The Contextualized Psalms (Punjabi Zabur)

Foreword

“All in all, this book by Dr. Yousaf Sadiq offers multiple dimensions of interest. It provides a window into sociocultural and missional history in the region of present-day Pakistan. It also highlights a process of transmission from Europe to Asia of a particular worship form within the Protestant tradition. The book additionally raises a number of interesting and important questions relating to Christian-Muslim relations in Pakistan. These questions offer potential bridges between the faiths rather than focusing on awkward differences. Thus this book looks into the past, the present, and the future, and in doing so, it represents an invaluable addition to Christian scholarly literature.”
